LOTS happening on the NYS Labeling Bill: A3525/S3835!

  1. For those of you who haven't yet contacted those Senators and Assemblymembers in NYS who are the gatekeepers of our GMO labeling bills, here's a quick and easy way to email them, courtesy of our friends at Organic Consumers Association: http://salsa3.salsalabs.com/o/50865/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=10968. Personal letters, emails, and phone calls are always better but we understand that many of you simply don't have the luxury of time to take these actions, and we're firm believers that ANY action you're able to take is better than no action. Even if you've already contacted them, send them this email letter, too. Let them know you care about getting the right to know what's in your food that you needed to tell them twice (or thrice)! So get clicking, New Yorkers!

  2. LAST NIGHT ON THE 10pm WPIX11 TV NEWS - @JayDow Rocked the Report!!! PLEASE!!!!! GET ON THE PHONES, Write, Email, Petition our State Assembly & State Senate, New York!!!!! Actions: www.gmofreeny.net Legislative Session closes June 20th - Let's GET this to a VOTE....YES on NYS A3525/S3835 GMO Labeling Bill!
But corporate giants like Monsanto are fighting advocates like GMOFreeNY over whether GMO labeling should appear on the altered foods you likely eat every day.
“We need to know because there’s never been any long-term independent safety studies on human consumption. We want to be the first state in the nation to pass a bill labeling genetically-modified food in our food supply in New York state. I think we can do it,” said Kathleen Furey of GMO Free NY.
